PRIVACY STORMS

The Night Gallery - Chicago, USA - 2019

This site-specific, live installation captures the people that pass by the gallery screen, superimposing their image over a residue of the people who have already walked by, which has been looped. They will intertwine with the previous by-passers, but never collide, and they will in turn become part of future loops.

This installation uses image recognition to divorce moving persons from their backdrop and insert new actors into the frame. The work responds to a time in which the boundaries between surveillance and privacy is blurred.

In collaboration with Vivek HV and Julian Siegelmann
